Blyth Primary School held a community assembly under their great outdoor shelter on Friday to mark the end of Term 2.
The upper primary students were the MCs for the afternoon guiding the students through the program.
The junior primary students showed their works from Term 2 including a performance to the music of the Chipmunks.
The Years 2, 3 and 4 students showed many of their activities including a lovely art work of autumn leaves in a variety of autumn colours, an exploding volcano and a perfect harmonized rendition of “The Lion King sleeps Tonight”.
The upper primary students showed their newly acquired skills playing the xylophone and recorder conducted by music teacher Cathy Lindus.
“The Enterprise” students showed some of their wares made during the term with bargains available to buy after the assembly and the worm farm was proudly displayed with the many worms squirming in their new home.
To conclude the assembly, principal Dzintra Richards presented her awards to students for not only good works in the classroom but also for their skills, helpful and friendly nature to all their school buddies and staff outside the classroom.
Award recipients included Sophie Angel, Jessica Lloyd, Edlyn Evangelista, Thomas Carling, and Carmel Pryke. Clancy Toholke and Hannah Burgess received Athletic SAPSASA certificates for their great sporting success.
