Hamish McGregor of Clare entered the Rotary Club of Clare Art Show to have a go and show his artistic talent.

Little did he know, the life-like sketch of his dog Twistie would put him into the prize money.

Hamish came equal first in the junior section of the art show and took home $125 for his efforts.

In addition to the prize money, he also was lucky enough to sell his sketch.

“It looks just like little Twistie,” Hamish’s mum Annie McGregor said.
