Hundreds of market goers turned out for the big event, along with an increase in stall holders.

Fresh produce, hot food, plants and native trees, light bulbs and fresh homemade bread were all the go on Saturday morning, along with the ever popular beanies almost every kid had.

New stallholders, with a wide range of goods kept everyone happy from the mettwurst lover to handmade jewellery collector.

An affordable day for the whole family, children enjoyed their time to shine at the pet show with their favourite animals.

Dogs, a cat and bird, turtle and even a scorpion were entered in the pet show and prizes were given to all who entered.

“There were plenty of unusual pets such as ferrets, Tommy the Turtle, a scorpion, yabby and a goldfish called Light. Everyone received a prize and enjoyed sharing their pet with the community. Thanks to all who braved the cold and we’ll see you next time for a bigger and better Pet Show,” convenor Ingrid Smith said.

Everyone enjoyed the bright, yet cool Saturday morning which was a great success, Clare Show President Norm Crowther said.

“The pet show and poultry show was well supported and there were plenty of people, it was very well attended and we will be having it again in the future,” Mr Crowther said.
