With no Clare and District Hockey Association matches played on the weekend, two junior teams – an Under 13 boys and Under 11 mixed team – headed to Adelaide for the State Junior Championships.
Whilst no trophies were collected over the weekend, all players gained valuable experience for their future development as hockey players.
This was the first time for a few years Clare and District has been able to field teams in its own right.
As well as these two teams, Clare supplied several players outside of these age groups to Yorke Peninsula.
A big thank you to the parents who made the effort to support their children over the weekend, and to the coaches and team managers for their contributions.
